Are you saying the FAA would refuse SpX a launch license to land on the moon outside of the Artemis Program :D

Are we in a place where the US and partners would allow a Chinese landing before we go back?

I didn’t really consider the FAA and as for China ask those who cut NASA’s funding instead of supporting them. I think Spacex will proceed in a more timely fashion than most of the other Artemis partners in spite of the fact that they have much more to do. There’s turn around on each Orion capsules, new mobile launch platform, EVA suits, Gateway & the actual Artemis rocket stages to name some but each of those a separate vendor while Spacex has as much to do as all of them put together.

Found my first Tweet I might have reposted here locked behind a subscription button. $5 a month? No thanks. I’ll continue to seek alternatives.

    Back to original programming….

We’ll see, they seem to have to replace a lot of parts after every launch so I think more upgrades on shielding such as they did to the BQD are needed before that increased cadence can happen. It might require a redesign of the whole clamp and outer engine supply ring. Or they may need the greater clearance afforded by the lack of shielding for the newer raptors.

Lot roomier than a Soyuz, but yeah, Boeing's design aesthetic is kinda chunky.

Everyone on the space center had an open invite to bring a car load of people out for the launch, I declined because I figured it would scrub at least once.
Rv's chatter all the time, thats what it's designed to do. Overpressurization->chatter --->equalized. I seriously doubt they will have to roll back or swap a valve. They will regulate pressure somewhere slightly lower and send it.

The lc-12 stuff that Blue Origin is doing is an experiment they are doing on what is supposed to be an LH2 storage tank. It's leaked completely when they've tried to validate it, so they are using ln2 to leak check different sections. I've been told everything out there will eventually get scrapped.

So maybe an over abundance of caution which shouldn’t be surprising at this point.

Looks like they’re using S26 to verify the new transport/test stand. Probably so they don’t have to suspend work on S’s 29 or 30 for that. And maybe they’ll keep S26 around for ground testing(and who knows, maybe still flight testing?) propellant transfer? At the very least it’s handy to have a ship around that isn’t busy. Was S26 ever cryo tested?
