I expect they’ll have more time than those on Titan and at least some options when in orbit. It’s when the candle is burning or the heat shield is blazing they just have to ride it out.

Pluto is smaller and less dense than our moon. It just doesn't have the gravitational pull to clean up its neighborhood.

I doubt something even bigger could “clean up” the Kuiper belt. It’s an ad hoc definition since Jupiter is largely responsible for cleaning up the orbits of the inner planets.

    I wonder if that’s a temporary expedient.

Yeah, the way they frame it in the article, it's a weight management issue as they work out the kinks for SH landings. I'd bet keeping it when they start working towards operationalizing of rapid reusability is the plan.

Heard it was bad, West of SLF is very dense vegetation. I'm out of pocket all week I'm not sure how they fared. They do controlled burns out there anyways, probably good for the area to be honest....

Zach/CSI_Starbase talked about it on the RGV Aerial livestream on Saturday. B11 was built about a month after IFT1, so the HSR was not considered yet. He was saying the center of gravity is changed with the HSR on these "older" boosters and they will have to modify the CoG for later boosters to account for the HSR weight.
