So I like to store tools in my truck. Stuff I use frequently. Sockets, screwdriver, ratchets, rope, and a ryobi air compressor (up to 150 psi but the size of a drill). Anyone got any ideas on how to do this? My bed space is so limited that it makes putting a toolbox in their seem foolish. :( Wspeciallt since I tend to load kayaks too.

If you use your bed often for bikes/kayaks, I would highly suggest investing in a roof rack to haul those items so you can have a toolbox in the bed. You can also store some tools in the storage compartment under the back seat.

12v always on power point mod, tailgate anti-theft, Addl bed tiedowns, flyzeye dash lights, map lites with dome lite mod, bed stiffeners, air bags, brake controller, always on fog lights,
The storage areas under the rear seats in a DC are really nice except when you have groceries or something else in the back seat and have a flat! Ask how I know! The jack and tire tools are under there and are a PITA to get to when loaded. Now that I have a leer canopy, will revisit a milk crate or something lockable stored permanently in the bed with this stuff in it. Will probably leave the under seat storage for emergency things like bug out bag items.

The swing out tool box may work.

Mechanics tool bags from an army surplus store are hard to beat when combined with a few organizational conveniences like carabiners and plastic lunch containers.
