I'm looking to put a little lift on my Tacoma. I have the 2014 Tacoma TRD Sport. any suggestions on a lift. I don't have a big budget for the lift.

    What's your budget? I wouldn't put a $200 lift on a $34K truck

Will you be off-roading or mall-crawling?

Spacers = bad everything about them.
You have a 2014 truck, save up and put some decent parts in it.

5100s up front and rear block OR single AAL is an inexpensive lift. Cheap? Not as low cost as spacers, but less than $250 in parts.

I've had a 3'' tuff country spacer lift for 2 1/2 years never had a single problem. I do a little light off-roading here and there. The ride is fine on the road but sucks for everything else that being said I'll be looking to upgrade to the new Bilsteins 6112 series in the near future. If you can afford more get something better than a spacer lift if you can't a spacer lift will work just fine.

I think only people who have used them should comment. Not heard or saw on some thread.... Or say its "common" knowledge

I have 3" front 2" rear spacer lift a few weeks after I brought my 2013. I cruise around the beach. Also minor "offroad" to my fishing spots. Do I jump the dunes or flex? No..... Probably over 75% of lift truck you see out there are running spacer/blocks.

Bottom line. Dont drive like you have a high end lift or long travel and your good to go.

    enough to go over stuff
Get the bilstien 5100s and put them on the 1.75 setting. Shocks are about 250 and install should be around 200.

    Bilstein 5100’s (x4), 275/65/20 Cooper XLT AT3’s
Do the 5100's and call it a day. For a small budget it's a great way to lift your truck. OME coil springs would really help if you had the extra money. I did it to my truck and have been happy...however, if I were to do it again I'd wait and upgrade when I had more cash.

    5100's - about $150
    Rear AAL - about $75
    OME springs - about $160
    Rear 5100's - about $150

You could also buy $25 shock extenders for the rear and re-use your stock shocks. I have them on mine now because I f'd my rear 5100's. It was supposed to be a temp fix while I ordered new ones but they have worked fine and I'm waiting to do a full upgrade.

Dont do a spacer the ride will be like crap on and offroad. It will be quite harsh. Better off stock than with a spacer.

I have a 2011 4x4 with a 3" front and 1" rear readylift I have 104,000 miles on this lift with no issues what so ever. The truck is used off-road quite frequently and in very muddy conditions. A good friend of mine has a 2012 with the 5100 set at 2.5" and his rides like a log truck he has often commented on how he wishes his rode as good as mine.

What size tires do you have on yours? I'll look into this lift. I like the 3in front with 2in rear.

I had a store today tell me not to spend so much money on shocks and coils use spacers instead. His reasons was because my coils and shock are new and since I only have 1k miles on my 2015. I thought a business would have a better reason and would give me better advise. I'm a newby and want to level my truck but I get so confused with all these options and terms.
