6 inch bds lift, pro comp rim on 33s
so I got a 6 inch bds on my truck atm and wondering if anyone have ever experienced with doing say a icon 0to3 inch adjustable coilover with a spacer on top. the bds lift uses a 4 inch spacer or so. im not really ready to drop 3000$ on fox coils. My best case scenerio would be to get some decent shocks and keep my spacer on top to have it adjustable 6 to 9 inches. Im looking for some ideas as to why this would not work or what issues i would run into.
    thanks guys

You should wait and stick with the spacer for now or like you said get some good shocks til you can get better

To be honest, I had kings before the db lift. The shop kept the kings on and put a spacer on top. Actually drove smooth. But i have custom kings for 6 inch lifts. Also cost way less than whatever fox you're looking at.

Curious how much did your kings cost you?

I bought the front and rears from another member. I called DSM for a quote, think new would have been about 1800 for the front. And 1300 for rears?

On top of the coil assembly??

Although, its been a very long time since I used to work on 1st gens...

Putting too much spacer ontop (or outside of the coil assembly) will put your steering knuckle too close to the coil assembly.

Searching the internet - and this is the best photo I can find that might explain it.
