Okay, I ordered 2" spacers for the front of my taco, but when they came in the mail today, they measure exactly 1". Are these the correct spacers for a 2" lift? Does it end up being 2" through suspension geometry, or did they send the wrong ones?

Have alignment checked. I put a set of top plate spacers on a truck for a friend a few weeks ago. We knew it was out of alignment going in, but imagine the surprise when we had the alignment done and the spacers brought it as close to "spec" as you can get one. Point is, ANY lift will CHANGE alignment, and one in a million change it to where it's supposed to be. Very rarely will you ever stumble on to even a brand new truck where the alignment is perfect.

Lolz. If he was doing it 'proper' he wouldn't use 5100s either.

Thats right. I dont go off-road, and just needed to clearance some rubbing tires. Why spend hundreds more to accomplish the same effect?

Because someone's going to come in your thread and tell you that your truck's gonna blow up cause it has a spacer lift on it. lol

much more proper than being able to bottom your stock shock before hitting bumpstop by going over a simple speedbump while mall crawling.

see above ^ .... and hundreds.... you can get a set of 5100s for the front for ~ 170 .... aluminum strut spacers are 130ish....

    My spacers were $34.

Sounds like somebodies butthurt, because someone spent way less money, than someone else, while achieving the same result. [smile]

Spacers are still a turd if you want them for actual functionality, and don't care about ride quality, but if their for aesthetics then who cares. I can't imagine 5100's are that much better for anyones suspension if they are running stock coils, especially the way people jack them up to the highest settings.

my 5100's have been great but i have them at 1.75in. 200mi off road through the desert just recent and they were nice and smooth, i would of most definitely come back with a bent or broken shock had i been running spacers however.

To each their own. Good luck OP.
