I've read a lot of threads about spacers. I know a lot of people say they are bad for your suspension but does anyone know for sure? I'd like to get 1 inch spacers just for the look but if they are bad for my suspension then I'd rather not.

Rock I was hoping you would chime in. However I should have been more clear. I meant wheel spacers. Sorry

How long have you had them on?

    Proper rim backspacing > spacers.

Get new rims. You will thank me when you don't lose a tire in the ditch.

Wheel spacers are safe enough if installed carefully following the instructions. Use hubcentric spacers (the ones with a lip around the hub bore) to avoid vibes.

The most popular wheel spacer mfr, Spidertrax, explicitly prohibit the use of impact guns on the lugnuts. Something to keep in mind if you take your truck to shops for any wheels-off service.

Yea I've been looking at the Spidertrax so I think I'm going to go with those. Ebay has them for about $100. Not bad for a different look. Thanks.

Like Rock, I like my stock wheels. Thanks for the advice though!

Spacers reduce up travel causing the shock to bottom out before hitting the bump stops. just takes a pot hole

I've been running 1" hubcentric spacers for a couple thousand miles now. No issues. Went with them because I liked the wheels I have.

I should specified in the title. I was referring to wheel spacers. Not suspension.
