    I'm wanting a leveling kit but also a little bit higher than stock maybe 1-1.5" or so. Is it bad to use spacers or blocks? I have a 2007 tacoma trd sport double cab. Any input appreciated

    Your a perfect candidate for bilstein 5100’s then. They are adjustable shocks use the factory coils.

    It all depends on what you're going to do with the truck. Most here do not endorse spacers, however, their isn't anything wrong with them on a purely on road truck. Actually, I have a set on mine - I don't off road. Also a spacer that sits above the shock top hat does not affect ride quality. Now, if you plan on off roading or even going down dirt rut filled roads, then you'd best be served with, at a minimum, a set of 5100s. The reason spacers are 'bad' when off roading is that the shock becomes the bump stop resulting in potentially breaking the shock.

    I've put spacers on the front of my 2014 dcsb to achieve 2" of lift as well as 2" blocks in back.
    This is my daily driver so most of my driving is on road but I do drive the fire roads up in the hills to go shooting or take the kids to ride their dirtbikes. Although I'm not pushing it hard at all, there are some decent ruts and potholes. I've never felt the shocks bottoming out and never noticed any difference in the way it rides as compared to stock. When I decide to go the spacer/blocks lift method, I had read that the stock shocks had enough travel so that the shocks wouldn't bottom out. As I recall, the write up on this seems credible and had supporting evidence to back it up. ** I'm not sure that it is true though**, but decide that with the way I use my truck that I'd take the chance. 1 year so far and no issues at all, feels like stock to me. Take it for what you will.

    Think if u stay under an inch or so of spacer lift you don’t sacrifice toooo much ride quality... that’s what I ended up doing until I get around to putting an OME kit on . Have about a half inch spacer to just level out

    Don't put a $80 lift on a Truck that was $30k... Waste of money, in my opinion. Bilstein, coils, aal At least

    Thanks everybody for the Input I'm going with the 5100s. I don't know if I'm gonna just level the truck or raise it up but for now I'm gonna level the front with the rear Then later on I can always lift the rear with AAL. And the front since there adjustable.. I'm really wanting to find a wheel tire combination that will work without rubbing.. I want them to be wide and tall as possible without any kind of rubbing. Any suggestions on that?
