    I’m not sure if you’re correctly quoting me. My mount will work with a tonneau as long as you don’t use the hook brackets and you need to have that front rail on for it to work. You just need to remove it for the installation process and reinstall it.

    How in the world would this work with a tonneau? Do you cut a hole for the tire to stick through?

    Also, yes, the front rail remains in place, but it's not very usable with a big ass tire sitting in front of it...

    I like your design, but if I'm misquoting it's drawbacks, then I'm really not seeing how it works.
