I tried searching, both here and google and haven't found what I'm looking for. Does anyone make a spare tire carrier, swing away, that allows you to keep the stock bumper and tailgate? I've got a shell so I'm not really interested in the tiregate ones that you have to replace the tailgate and I'm not a fan of the one that uses the receiver. Anyone have any suggestions?

You don't want it to attach to the stock tailgate, bumper, or hitch.

But you want a swing away carrier. What are you *hoping* it'll attach to?

check out the Tiregate HG. it installs into a 2' reciever and leaves everything stock. www.tiregate.com. not very many options being that the tailgate flips down unless you go custom.

I'm thinking something where there'd be one that had like 1/8" plate that would stick out on either side of the tailgate, one side being the hing, the other side the latch. I know my best bet is an off road bumper with a tiregate, like what CBI makes, just wondering what other options are out there. I don't like the idea of the hitch-mounted tiregate because I've got back-up sensors mounted in the bumper and that thing would make them obsolete. I'm ok with it attaching to any of the stock parts, I just want to retain the stock parts.

Haha, nope. I actually traded the truck a while ago. I ended up keeping the spare under the truck the whole time I owned it though. I'm rocking a Ferd now.
