Update: I did not need the key to get my spare tire down. I was able to get it off via the winch with a wedge thingy attached to a socket, 2 or 3 extensions, and a ratchet wrench. It really seems that all I would need in lieu of the tool set for changing out the spare is the lug wrench that would operate the lug nuts, a way to get more leverage on it if needed, and the wedge, socket, extensions, and ratchet wrench to operate the winch.

Great News! Glad to hear it. Can you please post some photos of the "wedge thingy" and the socket it is attached to?
Lug wrenches are pretty standard, and can be had at most auto supply stores. Just make certain you get one for metric lug nuts; mine are 21mm. The SAE size 13/16" will do in a pinch, but the 21mm fits very snug and does not wiggle like the 13/16". Just take one of your lug nuts into the store to assure the fit.

When you are 74 yrs (I am) cheater bars are a prosthetic device! We refer to you younger guys and gals as "temporarily able-bodied"!
Agreed; if I have a damaged wheel stud I will likely need a 3 foot extension, which is one reason I have that.
Also, my tire dealer does free rotation AND balancing every 6,000 miles, but they use an air wrench that does not seem to measure "ugga duggas", so I have to go back, loosen the lug nuts and retighten with my torque wrench.
For loosening when the lug wrench won't do it, I use 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchet and 21mm deep socket; Harbor Freight tools may not survive a 36" breaker bar.

I had the same problem and I bought the tool for a different vehicle (linked below). The hook end is slightly too large but I put it against some concrete and used a hammer to flatten each side just a bit. Fits perfect now. The lug nut is 21mm. 25 bux. https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-926-8...oln+Models&qid=1621619606&s=automotive&sr=1-1

NOTE: If you input your vehicle, Amazon will tell you it won't fit. Which is true until you flatten the sides of the hook just a bit. :)

This one is almost perfect. The hook is just a bit too wide so I took a hammer to the hook end and flattened both sides. Works perfect for me! https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-926-805-Spare-Tire-Tool/dp/B01MTVTHRI/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Dorman+926-805+Spare+Tire+Jack+Handle%2FWheel+Lug+Wrench+for+Select+Ford%2FLincoln+Models&qid=1621619606&s=automotive&sr=1-1

I pulled the tool set from a 2002? Pathfinder and it works just fine. Just replaced the pieces that were missing on mine with the Nissan pieces.
