Spare tire lock removal question

    The female part on my truck is completely gone. It is just a flat surface in the middle of the cross member. I have the male part but it doesn't do me any good if the female part is missing. Plus my stock rear bumper is pushed up against the tailgate so I can't even access the part that leads to the area to lower the spare anyways. Looks like the only option I have is to cut the spare tire cable and drop the spare tire down and get a spare tire carrier for the back of my truck!

    There is a spring pin that holds the entire assembly to the winch shaft. It didnt take too much to hammer that spring pin out and slide the entire assembly off the shaft.

    Im not blaming anyone but myself. No one said anything about a roll pin. Mine was tac welded. So we cut the tac weld with a wheel cutter, and tried to pry the lock off whit a long pry bar like someone said and we broke the assembly. It would have been easier to takeout the 4 bolts that holds the assembly up, then separate it on the work bench in a vise. Just saying prying it off, does not always work
