The one mod I have been wanting to execute is having the remote spare rod affixed such that you don't have to fish around with a flashlight trying to engage the crank rod into the thingamegig. I haven't seen this mod on Tacomaworld and was hoping I could challenge all to finding a good way to do this.....I have even tried, unsuccessfully, to find a rectangular rubber gasket to fit into the hole at the bumper to keep it from rattling.......HELP!!!

Good idea. I too dislike the manner in which i have to crawl under the truck to engage the crank.

Yeah they need a peep hole. But then again, it's not something you should have to do very often.:notsure:

Dam how often are you guys removing the spare? And is it really that hard to remove? It takes me seconds even in the dark to start the crank. All I had to do is peep through the hole once and get a mental idea of where its at.
