Going to be purchasing a spare tire/rim that currently matches my setup I am running now. Would like to mount it in my bed rack as soon as its completed. What are some ideas you guys might have? I'm just going to lay it down in the basket as pictured below. Not even sure if this one is mounted. Just set in there with maybe a chain/lock to secure it??? Hard to tell. (And yes I posted a "2nd gen" here AGAIN. sry but only pic I had)

Pretty much the setup I had on my previous truck. I purchased a lockable spare tire mount from Yakima (https://www.yakima.com/spare-tire-carrier) to go with their rack:

I usually had the spare in the bed under the rack and would only move it to the top of the rack if I needed the bed space. I also opted for their hi-lift jack mount.

Thx guys! Ordering my rim and spare tire tomorrow. This is the rack I'm in the process of making, so not sure if any round tube brackets would work with mine since its square tube.
