I was going to get a set of the stock 5 spoke steel wheels for winter tires on a 2021 SR5.

My understanding is that there is a 5mm difference in the offset of the stock steel vs the oem alloys.

I assume the spare wheel has the same offset as the oem. Would there be an issue using the spare with the stock wheels in either 2 or 4wd?

No issue. If you're planning a 5 tire rotation then you should make sure all 5 are the same spec. But, if you're just using that 5th wheel as a temporary/emergency spare then a slightly different spec isn't a concern at all.

Thanks for this. Yes, the spare would be only used as just that, temporarily.

I just wanted to be sure my spare was OK to use (in 2 and 4wd) with these steel 42601AD041 wheels.

These steel wheels are coming off a SR and I thought maybe the spare specs were specific to the different trims.

In your instance, wheel offset is not as important as tire size (specifically, overall tire diameter.)

Right on, I've no plans to change the winter tire size, sticking to the original/spare tire sizing.
    Thanks again
