How many changed their spark plugs at 30,000 miles? The dealer told me today I should change them because I now have 47,000 on mine. It is still running like new.

30k is what the service manual calls for. Its easy to diy and not much cost.

if you leave them in there too long the head threads may come out with the plugs....you dont want that to happen do you? plugs are cheaper :)

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Yes you should change them ASAP.

Nice little afternoon project while tickeling the throat with your favorite brew and listening to some tunes in the garage.

Only real push is for meeting the toyota emission warranty. they say 3/yr, 30k miles.
So if you have a failure of the emission control in the exhaust, say an oxygen sensor, would toyota deny warranty? Don't know.
I'll definitely do it at 30,000 but that may take me 4 years to get there.

Go buy some plugs for a few bucks and take care of it yourself. It's cheap and easy maintenance. I'm mechanically challenged and it only took me an hour.

Did them at 30,000 and 60,000 miles. It's a nice and easy job. Good to keep to the service schedule for warranty sake.

My gas mileage has dropped off a bit, maybe this has something to do with it.

Bought a set of Denso plugs today at Advance Auto. The guys that work there said they were pretty sure the newer Tacoma's came with iridium plugs. Mine is a 2012, can anyone confirm this?
