Hello, I bought some NGK plugs (pn: 7090) and they are pre gapped at 0.04. and since they have platinum tips I don't exactly want to re-gap them to the factory spec of 0.044.

Would it be safe to run at a smaller gap?

    Thanks!

That should be fine. Chances are that eventually they will become .044 from normal wear. I just replaced mine yesterday with the densos. Seems to run smoother now.
