I am at 120K miles. Changing my spark plugs this weekend, I noticed all the wiring harness corrugated shielding under the intake that attaches to the coil packs is brittle and crumbles with the slightest movement. It made a big mess with little plastic shreds falling everywhere and individual wires are now exposed to the open air. This is the only wire shielding in the engine bay doing this. Poking around, I think I found the expensive $800 replacement part (82121-04810. Also, from browsing around the internet it seems the fix is to remove the entire intake and re-wrap all the wires with new shielding.

Anyone else experience this? Thanks for any advice.

It's pretty common for the wiring loom on today's vehicles to get brittle and fall apart, it's not gona hurt anything as long as you keep the harness from rubbing on stuff. The best option is to re-loom the harness or wrap it in Tesa Tape which is an abrasion resistant harness tape alot of manufacturers use on harnesses instead of wire loom.
