Has Gunk come out with an injector cleaner that you can use in a dishwasher yet?

No but it's equally as ridicules as pouring a bottle of crap in the tank for $150. I have never used "injector cleaner" in any thing I owned or any other additive for that matter when I buy them I drive them till they are worn out or 300K what ever comes first.

The tech forgot to mention that you will also need a power steering fluid flush and brake cleaning. Those 2 items are usually included in the "upsell".

You will also need to flush the old air out of your tires and put new fresh air in....

    Same as everybody else...
My local dealer quoted me 296.00 to change the plugs. I'm going to buy the plugs and a nice ratchet extension and try it myself. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but I've done work on the truck thanks to TW so I'm gonna give it a shot.

+1 in Techron and change them yourself in about 20 minutes. Go to the dealer and buy 6 Denso plugs, don't forget to put some anti seize on the threads, and don't be shocked when you pull the originals and find that you have NGK on one side and Denso on the other. That's how they are built. You'll need at least a 6" extension to get to the plugs, they're down in there a ways.

Last weekend i did my spark plugs for the 2nd time, took about 30 minutes and 25 bucks worth of denso plugs, gapped all to .042 with no antisieze to 15ftlbs with torque wrench. I also flushed my power steering fluid, took 30 minutes and 1 quart of mobile 1 syn atf. Its easy stuff with a basic skill level that the dealers charge way to much for, just my 2 cents

Although plugs from the dealership are supposedly pre-gapped, check to confirm. A spark gap tool is only $1-3. Minimum is .041 inch.
Also, di-electric grease is suggested on the plug where the coil connects.

You like the Denso's? I put in NGK's last time, but I was going to try all Denso's next time.

Always check and gap copper plugs.

Always check Iridium plugs, if they are off too much take them back to the store.
Do Not attempt to gap them as the Iridium is very brittle and could chip.

I've had no issue with the Densos. Purchased for no special reason other than they were available and reasonable. I don't think the designer plugs are anything more than snake oil or an overpriced alternative that won't payback its cost. I ran NGK in all of my 2 stroke engines and always thought highly of them. Indont think you could go wrong with either.

As mentioned, always check your gap. A dropped box or plug would easily get knocked out of spec.

Be sure they use only genuine Toyota "Pure Nitrogen" type 3 only.

If you do a proper 30K service it is not going to be cheap. When I did mine I changed all the gear out for syn. oil, plugs, all the filters new engine oil every thing on the list it cost me over $200 with my shop discount for all the parts.

Buy some good NGK plugs $3-4 a plug.

Buy a bottle of Techron (I use this as it is effective and cheap), or the BG stuff if you are rich..

Buy the tools you need to do it...

    Call it a day.

Back in the day GM's doorstopper shaped Camaro's 99-00 ish required 4 hours of dealer labor to change the plugs. $300 is about right for one of those. Any other vehicle, that is a pure and simple rip-off.
