So my 2.7 Tacoma tripped the check engine light. I went to disconnect the spark plug wire to take a look at the spark plugs and the end of the wire stayed on the spark plug. Now a spark plug socket will not fit on to the spark plug. And since it is deep down in the head not much chance of a pair of needle nose pliers being able to reach it. What will it take to remove the spark plug now?

    Welcome to TW!
Any chance a plug socket with a hex and a socket that fits taped on the plug socket?
Not sure but I’d try it I think.
Sounds like you’ll need to replace the coil pack. I got 4 I don’t need anymore I’m in VT.

The attachment sticks up to far for a deep wall socket. Might need to buy an extra long needle nose pliers.

The tip won’t fit thru the hole of the socket?
