So Im pretty sure my spark plug thread got seized up. When i was removing it it was incredibly difficult. and when i got it out the first like 3 or 4 threads were just gone/flattened. I would post a picture but my phone is broken. So when i went to put the new one one, it would not thread down all the way properly. I hand tightened it and then did another half turn, but when i put the coil on it had a good half inch or so gap.

I could have kept cranking on the spark plug to get it down farther, but i didnt want to mess it up.

any tips for what to do now?

I would try re-threading it first, with a little blue Locktite. If that does not hold, then break out the big guns.

there is a tool called a thread chaser made for this. it will clean up lightly crossed threads. should be able to get it at auto parts stores.

Yeah I would run a tap down the hole, then somehow vacuum the chips out of the cylinder. Should be a fun job.
