Oh I see. Sorry just frustrated that you have to take off so much stuff just to replace plugs. I swear more and more companies are engineering ways to make the common guy spend more money for labor. F**k Toyota for not making it easier, but I’m doing this Sunday and enjoying a few beers while I’m at it...maybe even a little Mary Jane to calm my nerves. Props to the guy that said takes pics before disassembly...good call

Thanks for a specific, useful response. I have the service manual, but my Acrobat search is not functioning properly, plus mine has no index to speak of.

Engineering isn't the issue. Packaging all the DI stuff into the provided space is the issue.

At 30K? Then they’ll tell you, “Should have purchased the extended maintenance plan. Then it would not cost as much.”

You’re joking, right? If you can’t change spark plugs, you need to hand over your man card

So you want yours back then? Because based on what you said, I can’t, so I get to keep mine...:D no but seriously, I can, but no time do it..busy doing mods. Plus this SPs should last well into 100k+. I feel like this is a dealer gimmick to make money sooner and at intervals earlier than necessary. Does anyone really feel or believe at 30k miles, this is necessary?

Did my plugs on my 17 TRD OR 3.5L with 50,000 miles. Yes you do have to pull the upper intake and move some wires around but its not that bad. Took me an hour to complete to job. As far as price goes I talked the parts associate into employee cost paid $11.77each at the local Toyota dealer

Were all 6 old plugs Denso? In the past V6 Tacoma's had 2 different plugs for some oddball reason.

I had 125k on my 96 T-100 and never replaced them and it ran great right up until I sold it..I rarely replaced spark plugs...
