changed at 150k....gap was fine, tight but not frozen....new plugs installed and running just like before.....i’ll not go that far on the truck and will change at 60k.....not advocatng that long of an interval but I’m my case it did not hurt anything

I called one Toyota Dealer they quoted me $419 (change at 100K) and then I called another one $175 (Change 60K). Looks like I'll be doing the job myself once it's time.

Guess I got a great deal at Lexus dealer. The only reason I had Lexus do GS 350 is, super tight in there compared to Tacoma. Intake removal was a must on GS. Same as IS 350 I had before GS.

Unreal the two different price you were quoted. FYI - Plugs (old) in GS, and IS looked perfect, and gap was perfect.

Just hit 80k and will be changing the plugs this weekend along with a new rubber o-ring gasket for the intake manifold. I did not change it the first time and is a good preventive measure to just replace it.

Don't waste your money at 30k, it will be fine using Toyota's service schedule, not the dealer's...

again, you don't have to remove the intake mani on a GS350 either. just the intake pipe (same as the 3.4). I did mine in under an hour...

But 125 is a good deal. the plugs themselves cost over half that. they quoted me $400!

$175 is fine if it includes parts and labor. Think of it this way, If anything gets messed up, better the dealer than you or some other shop.

went to dealer today to review whats done at 30k service......the showed me three versions:

    1..Basic Service.....$286.95

    chk floor mat install
    rotate tire
    replace engine oil and filter ( $37.00 / $5.95)
    replace air filter ($27.95)
    replace cabin filter ($17.95)
    inspect engine/inverter coolant
    inspect rack & pinion
    inspect radiator
visually inspect brake lining and drums and pads and disc
    inspect and adjust all fluids
    inspect wiper blades
    multi-point inspection
    parts: $87.00 ~$200 labor

2..Value service.....$521.95......same as basic with the following:perform a/c refresh service

service battery and run Midtronic's test ???
    install washer solvent ???
    pressure wash engine bay ???
check alignment ($149.95 separate) doesn’t mean they will do it....just check
    difference: $231.00 over Basic

3..Premium Service $1107.95.....same as basic and value service with the following additions:

torque bolts and nuts on chassis and body
run health check and provide print out
    perform brake fluid exchange ($189.95)
    perform throttle body service ($189.95)
    clean induction system ($197.95)
    perform alignment ($149.95)
    difference: $586.00 over Value service

    oil filter...............5.95
    air filter.............27.95
    cabin filter.........17.95
    Mobile 1 0/20....37.00

I can do the Basic and save $200

I can do Value for $236.95 and save and save $285

The Premium is a little bit different.......do I really need brake fluid exchange (fluid is clear to slightly yellow)?......do i really need throttle body and EFI service?..........truck is running straight and true, no shimmy...... tires have never been balanced and are wearing very good and straight across, over 3/4 tread left after 29K.......

do I really need the premium service?....i don't think so, because I can do most of the stuff myself.......but would like you guys input

    thanks in advance

I would do it yourself, even that Basic Service is not much more than just an Oil Change and a Tire Rotation for $300.

If you are not going to change your plugs like some say on here then you better loosen them once in a while because they can get crazy tight .

They should be fine changing at the recommended 60K intervals.
