104k on mine, still pulling 16.5 mpg on good days.... I’ll maybe change them next time I’m at the dealer. They quoted me like $280 to do it, I’d do it but I really just don’t feel like it. And for what it’s worth many folks on here have changed them in less than an hour with basic tools and not removing the manifold.

Where'd you find this manual? I'd like to view it so I can see and read the text in a bigger format.

I did change mine without removing the intake..... it's a little tricky, but it can be done.

I wouldn't change more frequently than 60K. 100K would probably be fine, but it's really to ensure efficient combustion and ensure you keep the warranty on your emissions equipment.

I just did this myself with not the most experience. Not too hard to take off the intake just follow the steps in the guide posted on page 1. Took me a little over an hour. Probably would’ve been about an hour had I known what everything was and not second guessing.

I'm changing my plugs this Saturday and I have no plans to remove the Intake manifold.
The air intake stuff will come off, but not the manifold.

Nothing special. 5/8 magnet plug socket and a couple different extensions. I bought an 18” and a 12” extension which made it easier. I already had a torque wrench, but I guess you could give it the old elbow calibration if not.

I could’ve done it without pulling it, but it was actually really easy to get off. The gasket was fine and I didn’t have to replace. Once I got it out of the way it made everything way easier. There are brackets and wire harnesses in there that unless you have tiny hands and a ton of patience will make it a nightmare unless you pull it off.

"Over time the gap grows, making your coil pack work harder to jump the gap. Plugs are cheaper than coil packs."...

Exactly correct. I always laugh when I hear some people who say, "yuk, yuk, I think my plugs should be good for 75K, 100K, etc." Wait until their coil packs start failing because they're pushing the duty cycle on them because they were too lazy (or, let's be honest...we're among friends) or too stupid to understand the potential ramifications of ignoring their plugs.

At appx. $120 per coil (https://bit.ly/2Z7JKjc), they'll wish they had just changed their spark plugs when they should have.

Changed mine today 77k on the odometer. They were past due for sure 3 of them looked pretty burnt up. I did it without taking the intake manifold off, you just need a universal or two to get at the plugs. It took me a couple hours to do because it was windy and cold and I went back inside to warm up.

You’ve heard the saying, “there’s a sucker born every minute”? Do what your owners manual tells you to do. Dealer recommendations are just that, recommendations. Gosh, I should run for president.
