Just did mine this past weekend for the first time. Just shy of 112k. They looked fine and gap was still in spec.

If thats the case, seems like a good time to add a blower.

Yeah funny you bumped this thread, I actually just did my spark plugs change over the weekend and was able to do it without much removal. Passenger side is no big deal at all. Driver's side requires a couple of brackets to be loosened and some hoses to be moved around. Took a little while but I don't work very fast.

I went with the IKBH20TT plugs and they are working perfectly. I did however gap them all down to .30. they were something like .44 out of the box.

The IBKH20TT(4075) has a thinner center electrode than the OEM FK20HBR8(3491) and is probably the reason for difference in gap spec.
It's not recommended to adjust gap on these plugs; Denso warns against it.

But, as always, you do you.

good info, thanks. I looked through all of the threads on here mentioning the 4075 plugs and whether there was precedence on gapping them down to factory spec but couldn't find anything conclusive, so I went for it. I took extreme caution bending the arm. Truck seems to run good with them, I might even say it feels a little more lively, but can't prove that. I'm heading out on a 3,000 mile road trip next week, so they'll get a workout. :D

My dealer said that some of the V6s were 60K and some were longer - wonder if that has to do with which plugs they came from the factory with. They specifically said mine was not needed at 60K and I just did my differentials.

Ready for a new mechanic but i'll still take those free oil changes!

Iridium plugs are 100,000miles+ 60k is too soon but that's what the engineers are calling for.

The old original post was a mix up from the dealer regarding the old standard plugs from the 05-15 models that were every 30k.

You don't have to remove intake manifold. Did my plugs at 99,xxx after watching this:

Leveled with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Kumho AT52 265/75 tires, Redline hood struts, R4T tailgate lock, Matt Gecko LED strips in bed and under hood, WeatherTech hood guard, OEM bed mat, Husky floor mats, Carhart seat covers, Grille replacement with Toyota letters, Sony AX6000 replacement head unit, OTT lite/mild tune, and an occasional splash of fuel additive.
I had mine replaced at 65K by dealer, still looked good, and I think I could have waited.
