    Greetings,

My Taco is a TRD-OR Manual. I've been trying to follow the DIY guide on changing the spark plugs. I could change five plugs without much of a problem. But I'm seriously stuck on the last one on driver side - closest to the firewall - seems to give me two hours of thinking time already. There is a grey hard metal fitting above the coil, so I can't really pull the coil straight out, nor could I try bending it a bit. The intake manifold bracket seems to have the hard metal fitting (ABS line or clutch line?) that is attached to the bracket, so I can't move the bracket out of the way. Please see the picture. Is there something I'm really missing or can I somehow elbow that bracket out? Thank you kindly!

I have a TRD offroad with 6spd manual as well. That one sucks. If I remember right I faced the front of the truck with my right hip against the fender, stuffed my arm backawards in there a twisted as I removed it.

I had to remove the black bracket if front of your hand to the left with the two silver nuts, and the third nut if I remember right, I had to go in thru the wheel well.

Hope it helps. I did get it after removing the bracket.

I think I had to gently bend the metal tube line as well.

The short answer is yes, move stuff out of the way.

See if this video helps. I had to use a rachet with a couple of extensions going through the wheel well to get to some of the metal brackets.

The manual transmission truck has one addition metal clutch line on that bracket. It turns out that they can be loosen and bent a bit to push and clear the coil. So, @wrightme43 got that trick for me to get that moving. Now the last plug is done!
