Denso or NGK, but make sure to get the twin electrodes or your 5vz-fe will run like crap.

Not only that, but the timing cover says to use the dual ground plugs.

Yes that is exactly what you said, I was emphasizing that on the timing cover it plainly states dual ground plugs are to be used. Just pointing that out.

Lots of small stuff; Grillcraft MX, Bilstein 5100's, Deck Plate Mod w/ K&N air filter, Airaid MIT, braided SS brake lines, Redline Tuning QuickLIFT hood struts, Extang Full-Tilt tonneau cover, fog light mod, gray wire mod, power outlets on-demand, Diff breather ext, additional contours to passenger side from oak tree.
I was a dumbass and (prior to joining this forum) replaced mine with NGK Iridiums and lost about 2 mpg...

Is there something that makes the Denso dual ground plugs different from other multi electrode plugs?

edit: and by different I don't mean like "Denso is better because its oem!" but different in some technical way. I hear these plugs mentioned alot regarding Toyotas so I'm wondering if they have some magic built into them :p

They are the correct heat range, and resistance required by the Ignition.

Thats a cooler plug. You "could" have carbon buildup on the tip, and possible a CEL.
