I would go with OEM. Toyota Part number is 9091901235. Some have reported issues when going over to an iridium plug. Change every 30,000 and forget about it.

Can't fault them too hard. Not long ago I felt some excessive play in my left side cv axle that I thought was more than normal for the needle bearing so I posted about and when I refreshed the home screen there was another thread asking the same thing on a third gen:rofl:

Beats me? The same guy posted the same question twice?
    Maybe he got confused?

If I had seen the other post, I wouldn’t have commented on this one.

^For the 2nd gen V6, yep. Downside of using basic copper plugs.

If you have the 4.0L yes they should be but many people go well over 100k on them.

sounds like a waste of money. Spark plugs are expensive too. Dealership quoted me 500 bucks and I haven't replaced them in 14 yrs. about to break 70k miles and will probably wait until 100k

    $500 to change plugs on a 4.0:eek:
The plugs are around $3.60-$6.00 each depending on where you get them, takes under an hour to maybe 2 hrs to put them in depending on your tooling and proficiency.

You should be able to beat that price at an independent shop.
Because that’s a lot, even for a dealer.
Last I checked, my dealer wanted $230.

I saved $190 doing them myself.
But $500:eek: That’s like “We don’t want your business” prices.

I have no doubt they're cheap. But they charge like upwards of 200 bucks for labor

tbf he gave me a range $350-500. because he couldn't nail down the actual price on the plugs.. but I just went with $500 because I know they're labor is like $180 and up per hr and they'll take their sweet time.
They quoted me $415 for front and rear differential too
and $1500 for "transmission, coolant, power steering flush" + brake fluid exchange which my mechanic friend says is bs. He says no one does brake fluid exchange and all that other stuff can wait and doesn't need to be done at 60k

Plugs aren’t hard to DIY. 1-2 hours. Passenger side is easy peasy. Drivers side is a little tighter. Def worth doing if your truck has over 75K miles.

naw I'm decided I'm done with the lot of them. Other dealers prices are not that much different too and I could be saving a ton doing stuff myself. hard when you don't have a clue because no one ever taught you this kind of stuff but yt and tacoworld come in handy for learning!

Well your earlier replies were leading us to believe you were going the dealer/shop route, not DIY, hence the responses to your posts.
