    That was the end of season 1. Season 2 is a prequel that takes place before Spartacus comes on the seen. In real life the actor that plays Spartacus is fighting cancer and couldnt continue working so they made a prequel.

    I thought the new dude did a good job. He will never be as good as the original, but he did well. This season looks like it will be pretty good.
