Hate to revive an old thread, but just reading over this it seems as tho the problems people were having with these have been resolved correct?

 

Yeah, for the $400 new they cost, they are a solid option. But that's only true if you buy them new from an approved vendor. The warranty is as good as any I've ever had on anything but it only applies to the original owner with an invoice from an approved vendor.

 

Does anyone know if the newer model UCAs are equipped with greasable ball joints?

Dammit. I purchased mine the end of January and installed them two days ago. I have a very loud squeek/creak coming from the passenger side UCA. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of it.

 

Did you use the lube ?

 

Yes, a decent amount. Driver's side is silent. Passenger side can be heard from a block away. Going to pull them off Friday and examine them.

 

So when did these get updated? I'm about to buy set from another owner that never installed them. Not sure I will go through with it if it is the older version.

The difference is 4 washers (old) vs 2 washers (new) if I want to tell the difference?

 

The customer service sounds great but the idea that these are breaking is still a deal breaker. I dont want my truck out of commission waiting for new parts to be sent to me even if they are free replacements. So now its a toss up between Camburg and TC.

Torque your lower control arm alignment cam bolts/nuts to 130ft#'s and see if the noise goes away.
