I have some SPC upper control arms that seem to be leaking (on both sides) after my last alignment (I have had the worst time trying to find someone who can do a correct alignment with these UCAs). I cant seem to find the reason as to why they are leaking though... It also looks like on my driver side the UCA and my coils might be making contact but they are very small scuff marks so i cant be sure...

    From the top looking down:

    Bottom looking up:

    Dead on with the boot:

    Hopefully someone can help, thanks!

They're probably leaking due to someone putting in too much grease.

For your next alignment, set the UCAs yourself. Drive to the shop. Tell them what alignment specs you want. It's that easy.

It's fine, there's nothing wrong with some grease seeping past the boot. The boot doesn't form a tight seal and any extra grease should be able to leave the boot. Just wipe it off and make sure that it's not torn.

Oh, and when you schedule the appointment, tell them you'd like them to pull the alignment bolts and coat them with anti seize. They'll need extra time to do this and it will save you about a thousand bucks, if they're not already seized.

I'm on my third set of SPCs and they have always leaked grease out the bottom. Just throw in a couple squirts every oil change. Good to go.

Cool thank you guys! I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy. I wiped them off and they look like the boots are fine so I should be good.

Im pretty sure when I got my LCA cam gussets welded on he through some anti seize on there already, but next alignment i will definitely ask for some more
