SPC UCA Knuckle Insert Issue

Recently swapped my steering knuckle insert to a new spindle with a total chaos gusset.



Issue is the aluminum insert did not get the interference fit nessesary and rotates while trying to torque the castle nut to 45ft lbs

I called SPC talked to R & D about the issue and confirmed the insert should not rotate

Solution:

SPC said to go through Toytec for a lower price



The new adapter will expand when tightening, got next day shipping. Will update as parts arrive

 

Here’s a comparison, install was straightforward. I was able to torque to 45 ft lbs and no spinning.
