SPC UCA

I have a video of my spc uca I’m trying to share but i took it on my phone and it won’t let me upload to share. I lifted my truck in the front to inspect and make some changes on them and i have a bit of play in my tire when i push on it, i can see a little bit of wiggle in the ball joint of the uca. Is there supposed to be any play in it?

 

No there shouldn't be any play. Unless the nut that holds the ball joint in place is loose it sounds like your ball joint is bad. Depending upon when and who you bought it from you could have it warrantied by SPC. They came out with a new style ball joint last year that seems to be much better so far. Search for part# 35101 if you decide to replace it.

 

I believe i have that new style. I bought them from extreme terrain in 24

 

35101 bjs were released in June 2024 and many companies were still selling the old style. Post pics

That is the older style bj that has failed most of us. If you got that last year and can show proof spc will send you the new ones.

Can’t specifically tell from the jerky video, but I do not perceive a cotter pin on the castle nut. Could the nut not be tightened correctly?
