Who has really abused the SPC control arms/ball joints? How hard have you romped them? I'm loosing sleep over it because some say SPC can take a beating, and others say it's just endurance oriented, or for correcting your lift. VS a Uniball from cambuCa or total chaos... Help me out guys. Any advice helps. First gen tundra owners chime in!!!

I have the SPC on my 1st gen tacoma, no problems at all. 3 + years now.
I ordered a set for my 1st gen Tundra and havent bothered to install them because the stock ucas have been fine as is.
Running Icon 2.5 if that helps.
I will swap to the SPC at some point.

Have you noticed an excessive amount of bending in the ball joint? Do you have it set around 2 inches of lift on your tundra?

yes, 2" lift, I'll have to take a look in the morning. I don't recall it being anything to worry about. I'll try and get a pic for you.

How hard do you wheel with the SPC? Can you do high speed desert stuff, or flex it out pretty good in the rocks?

after looking at mine, they have the same angle as yours.
The full droop angle is the same as stock.
Mine are weeping grease, but the boots are rotted. No biggie.
I haven't run desert and prolly won't but they flex just fine in the rocks.

Niceeee you got any pics? Sounds like mine aren't at risk have you changed your upper ball joints? Mine probably have 120k on them probably just got the truck, and doubt the previous owner changed them....

Mine is at 150,000 and have never been changed.
As long as the UCA doesn't hit the coils at full droop you should be fine for awhile.
I didn't get any pics yet.
