%spd man trans swap with second gen 6spd

    Flowmaster single in dual out exhaust, throttle body spacer, 31" Dayton Timberline AT 2
    any one out there know if the new 6spd manual transmission will bolt up to my 01 4x4 2.7l 3rz??? Looking to get a few more MPG if you know what I mean:)

    Spending tons of coin on a new tranny to save money on gas doesn't make any sense. Save that money and buy gas with it.

    besides, the new 6 speeds are geared low, so you'd be better off with the old 5 anyway.

    I have the six speed. I wish it was geared better for gas mileage. Spinning 2700 RPM at 75mph on the highway sucks for gas mileage. I still refuse to buy an automatic though.
