My 2020 Tacoma, up until yesterday, would allow speak to text. Now, it only allows preset responses. Anyone know how to change this back?

Hell, I have yet to get "when it's safe, tap the notification..." to do anything. Kind of annoying but I can make and receive calls, the toyota-level voice commands work like "tune to preset one" when I'm too lazy to change the source and such.

It would be nice to have the functionality though.

The longer I have my 2020 Tacoma, the more little glitches I discover. The Info setting where there is Traffic, Weather, etc. Anytime I use this feature, I get a message about data not being available. Very frustrating, but my biggest complaint remains the preset text replies.

I think toyota gave up on the entune apps once they got android auto and carplay up and running. I can't really blame them. The only time I've heard a positive about having a factory nav was when you're way out and have no cell phone signal.

I have an Iphone but if you hold down the call button on the steering wheel it brings up Siri. I can than have her send the text. It all works over the cars speakers and microphone. I assume its the same for Android.
