I've had my truck for almost a month and just discovered this. I saw the knob by the A-Trac button but didn't know what it was. I was afraid to turn it for a while but finally did and well, it dropped the bass...kind of.

I found the amp under the drivers seat but don't know what kind it is, When I get my seat covers I'll investigate it further.

Anyone know if this is any good, It sounds alright.

I'd say you lucked out and they didn't take out everything before selling it. I wonder if they used a Line Out Converter if the stock radio is still in it...

I just went out and shined a flashlight under the seat and the amp is an Alpine MRP F300. Looks like a cheap one. It is the stock radio, don't know anything about the line out converter though.

It looks like you have an Alpine MRP series amplifier, a JL W3 Series (8"?) Subwoofer, and that bass knob looks like a PAC LC-1. This means that whoever installed it must have used a line-out converter. Judging by the custom box, it looks like a decent setup and a solid install.

I'm not sure I understand how you JUST discovered this, but good for you. Looks like a low end Alpine mono 300w amp, and as mentioned an 8" JL sub. Can't tell if it's 2 or 4 ohm, would need the model number for that, but looks like you really lucked out. Enjoy it.:headbang:

I didn't notice it because I didn't look behind the left side back seat or under the drivers seat until the other day, I had no reason too. I knew what was supposed to be there, nothing, so I didn't look until I went to throw a recovery strap back there and saw it. I didn't know what the knob was. Anyway It's a bonus I guess, sounds good. The first mod was done for me!

It's a 4 ohm. JL only offers the 8w3v3 with a 4 ohm voice coil.
