Its the wireing that caused me to stratch my head. They are all wired into that harness so I had a hell of a time figuring out what to do, and I still wouldnt be suprised if there was a better way than I chose.

So all you have to do is snip the wires at the tweeter? What's so hard about that? It would leave the wires hanging in there but I would tape them off. Is that an issue?

Then I would run a new wire from the tweeter to the crossover, which is tucked somewhere in the door. Is this correct?

if you are installing new tweeters with your components, just unplug the harness and wire up your own...

So after going out and listening to my stock JBL system with the subwoofer, I'm thinking I'll do the rear speakers first. I think they sound the worst. I think I understand the rear fill concept but I do have people ride in the back and I think upgrading those speakers to Pioneer 6.5" 3 ways would help. Does this make sense?

If you have people that rida back there this isnt bad, but the front is where you get most of the drive from your speakers. When I go in to re-deaden my truck I am going to unamplify my rear speakers and just run the bridged channels to my front speakers
