I did some Frost King in/on my doors. No problems yet with smells but can't honestly say I hear a difference. Not really comparing apples to apples though as I did the Frost King at the same time as upgrading the stereo so who knows what the new stereo would've sounded like without the Frost King??

Frost king isn't asphalt based so no smell or melting possibilities

Good to know I'm really tempted to start adding some to the doors while I replace the arm rest material.

Yea im going with frost king after reading a bunch of reviews. I'm too messy to use the putty.
Right now I'm wrestling with getting an all in one subwoofer for the rear wall or making my own custom box.

This is what I'm thinking of getting

The regular radio sounds good but Sirius sounds like crap. I could use more bass though

I found this over the weekend in and old phone. The mastic is in the bottom opening in the first pic. It's white, clean and,no smell ever, heat don't bother it.and pillow stuffing in the upper opening . I used it behind the speaker cause that door is sealed. Then put the sheets on opening last.

First 3 pics are of the front door 6.5 speaker box. The the subs. Jl w3 10",jl w3 8". So the truck has 10" sub,8"sub,4 6.5" mid bass,2 4" driver,2 1" silk dome tweeter,2 1.5"aluminum dome tweeter. So I make all frequencys. When for clarity .
