Speaker trouble 2016 tacoma

I have a 2016 tacoma, the front right door speaker is not working. I replaced the speaker but still nothing. all the other speakers are good. Any thoughts

 

check for power at the connector or check the fuse box

You could have a bad channel in your receiver, a broken or exposed speaker wire (short), ... why are you trying to fix it yourself if you have a warranty?

 

Warranty. You're wasting your $ if your goal is the oe speaker to work

 

the warranty is over. the truck was purchased in Oct. 2015

There have been a ton of problems with the Third Gen Tacomas discussed here and I keep a pretty close eye on them as I've had almost every single one of the "common" issues on my truck. However I can't say I've seen many people complain about one of their speakers not working.

Try running different search terms in the Search box on the top right corner of the screen. You may come across some threads discussing similar issues.

 

If your right front dash speaker works , check that connector as the tweeter feeds the door speaker .

 

I thought warranty was 3/36. Which would time out in October.

Am I wrong? Or is it over 36k already?

 

the warranty on this truck was for 1 year. 3/36 was drivetrain. i have the paperwork from the previous owner
