Good eye, I had cruise control on driving 70 mph down the road while I took that pic.
Just kidding I had the key in the switch to pull it out of park so the shifter wasn't in the way for the picture.

Those panels rattle no matter what sub is used. I have the JBL system, and got rattle, until I used dampening, like Dynamat, but without the brand name. I'm in the process of doing the whole cab. Not having any of the panels rattle will make the sound much cleaner, and I believe when I do the floor, road noise will be reduced as well.

my rear cab wall has sound deadening too. I have even placed foam tape between the panels where they meet. The sound deadening on the doors made a huge difference in reducing outside noise and greatly improved sound quality. I applied sound deadening on the inside of the door skin and the inside of the door where the vapor barrier used to be.

I got it far enough to do a smoke test and not a whiff!! I'll finish the install tomorrow and make it not so everywhere...

Thanks to everyone!! you guys are great!

The signal check went well, once I got the settings on the line converters adjusted.

I hope the line converters work out. If not try the pac line convertor at the bottom. I initially just added an amp and a 10 sub using this.

The low pass filter in the amp must have filtered the noise out on the sub.
I quickly decided I needed mid bass for a quality sound. I added JL Audio in all 4 corners with component tweeters and bought 2 more of the line converters without the adapter for the stock harness.

But when I used the line converters for the mids/ highs I got a shit ton of noise. I ended up using the powered version of the 4 channel pac.

You can also check out "My Audio Build" in the audio section. I did EVERYTHING except the head unit and wrote the thread as i was doing the install.

Line converter bad. Line out good. Lol

Think about it. You're taking an amplified signal, noise and all; and changing it into something that can be amplified again, noise and all...

Yep, line converters suck. I even bought JL audio twisted pair RCA cables to reduce noise.

I would have went with an aftermarket radio, but the steering wheel control interface was like 220 and the radio I wanted was only 300 and I just refused to pay that much for the steering wheel interface.

If your gonna rock the stock radio, I recommend the Hondo radio knobs. I hated the stock knobs because every time I adjusted the volume or station my fingers slipped off and hit the touch screen.
