exploring options to replace the factory speakers on my 2010.
I have a 2015 Entune radio i installed and i’m looking for better sound.

I have been talking to a rep from ********* and he was telling me i could go with a plug and play kit they offer to replace all the speakers and tweeters and add an amp and they have a plug and play kit that they offer.
Does anyone on here have experience with them? Are their products good?

also are there any other setups that may be better price wise because the two setups they offer are either $480 or $580 and wasn’t sure if there is anything else i could go with that will give me good results and be cheaper.

Wasn’t looking to change out the headunit if i didn’t have to.

Oh yeah, well obviously none of that information could ever apply to a 2010...

Fine then. I'll tell you what I think.

Nobody knows what your personal threshold for "better sound" is. It's not like you gave any indication of what you are really looking for like "Hey I want my shit to be loud." or "I need more BASS CRACK!" Any information would have been great, "Hey I heard a buddy's Alpine comp set and I started to chub." but nothing.

So you can see the conundrum in making recommendations because to suggest something that would certainly satisfy anyone, you're looking at WELL OVER your meager goal of doing something cheaper than $480-$580. You can maybe buy half a system for that. You're obviously reluctant to replace your HU, so now you're going to need high level inputs or a LOC if you are going for more power, and still nobody knows how much power will satisfy you and hence, no idea what speakers to recommend or what amplifier might fit the bill. I've never seen anyone say their OE head unit had near enough power.

This is why I suggested taking a look at the $250 thread. It's literally the other option besides OEM+, lots of speaker options and the micro amps are mentioned in that thread, inexpensive and add power for people wanting to retain their factory HU. If the OEM+ or other suggestions in that thread don't appeal to you, you have gone over your implied budget and there's not much more in terms of suggestions that can be made.

yeah sorry for lack of info... i’d like a little more bass and more crisp louder volume out of what i currently have being the stock speakers. i don’t need anything CRAZY like some people prefer just would like to greatly improve the sound of the stock speakers.

and also i have seen the oem+ stuff and that’s way out of my budget as their stuff is 1500$

I misspoke, by OEM+ I was really referring to Tac0tewnZ, which you referred to earlier. Apparently this is a company that a lot of people have had wildly varying results dealing with, all of which has been discussed to no end here on TW, hence their company name will yield a string of asterisks when you include it in a message here. I really think you're looking at one of those micro amplifiers and some decent efficient speakers at that price range, and you'll have to plan for a sub later on in the process.

yeah i have slowly read people have had problems with them but it seemed this was a few years ago.
i have been talking to the one guy who was on one of the facebook pages and he said that if i got one of those two setups it would be a greaaaaat upgrade over stock setup.
and yeah the amps are small which seems nice

Start by replacing the speakers. Then decide if you need to add an amplifier. Try to find speakers that will work either way. You're looking for something 92+dB sensitivity, but can handle 50-60 watts minimum in case you add an amp.

thanks. Yeah i have been trying to find the true answer if i even need an amp. and i haven’t found it yet.
because the guy from TT was like yeah you really won’t notice anything if you replace just the speakers and tweeters.
i have been wanting to replace them for a while now but just have not found the legit answer i have been looking for as i don’t want to purchase speakers and have the audio sound exactly the same

Generally the first upgrade is the head unit because the stock speakers will sound better on a replacement HU than new speakers on the OE stereo (more power). You are skipping that step though.

You may even consider integrating a micro amp first, then replacing the OE speakers afterwards.

I changed the speakers in my 2019 and kept the stock head unit. I didn't notice much improvement.

Next I added a kicker key amp and it was a HUGE upgrade.

Later threw in a kicker hideaway compact sub. It was nice but nonessential.

Best thing is: it looks 100% stock from outside and sounds awesome.

Figure out what amplifier you want to use, then get a T harness for your setup. I can't say what that is because you've done a stereo mod already.

That looks like something meant to add a sub amplifier since it has only two channels, unless you only want to amp the front doors.

If I were trying to do what you are doing I would make the harness myself and buy an audiocontrol 4 channel ACM amplifier and an OEM tuning interface. The only place I see a pre-made T harness that does 4 channels is from Tac0tewnZ. Everything else I see is made for adding a sub amp. Maybe someone else has better ideas.

oh yeah for sure. i’m not that tech savvy enough to make my own harness.

and yeah its either get the tac0tewnz stuff or buy 4 good speakers and 2 good tweeters and a good amp after finding out how to hook it up haha.
For what T T includes in their kits does it seem expensive? or is that cheap for what’s included? i don’t know what’s a good deal and what’s overpriced when it comes to car audio.

i really like this sony headunit but i still don’t know if i want to go and do an aftermarket headunit
