    Hello there.
Looking to start upgrading my audio and thought it would be best to start with speakers. I already got a pioneer 4 channel head unit, but any suggestions? Talked to some people at the audio store and said that most 6x9s won’t fit due to the deeper basket. Looking for something under $175.

$175 per pair or all 4? Focals ISC 165 Integration are very good speakers for the money imo. What’s your amp pushing per channel?

Infinity Reference series 6x9 components in the front doors, Infinity 6 1/2 coaxial in the back (if you have a DC like mine). You’ll need to bypass/modify the factory tweeter wiring and make your own mount, or do what I did and remove the stock tweeter from its mount and epoxy the new tweeter into the bracket. Set the crossover to +0db for the tweeter, +3 sounded a bit bright to me.

If you remove the plug from the factory tweeter you can plug it back into the stock harness and connect the similar colors together on the plug side so you won’t have to cut the factory harness. This will bypass the factory tweeters and keep your door speakers working (factory tweeters are run in series with the door speakers).
