I actually went back right after posting and edited lol. I was like “wait a sec, I messed that up lol” I was a Cpl at the time. I have no idea what specific role most of these guys had. We were working together on maritime ops.

Don't get too caught up on tiers or lists. I've never seen one that reflected the little experience I had with various guys from different SF walks.

have to admit, your post confuses me a little. I was just saying there is a tier 1 and tier 2 based on my experience. I give them all props though, they are all badass...some are turds though, they don't last long.

Are you on the global under vb.socom.mil?
Were you support strapped to squadron? You were stationed at the annex?

    I'm retired, so not anymore.

I was attached to a squadron and a team proper itself in my career.

Went through the process but turned down the spot when I realized how much I disliked that area. In hindsight, I kicked myself everyday for giving up the spot. I wish I could go back because I wouldn't have been there much anyway.

Trying to catch me in a lie or just curious?

they were but I don’t remember what ship. I was very temporarily loaned out to SOTG at Hansen in Oki on a MEU-SOC float and we were doing some stuff with those guys.

I’ve got a low key brain injury from years ago so my memory is weird AF about stuff. I remember being on ships, standing up to at night with everything blacked out and seeing millions of stars but can’t remember the particular ship I was on.

    it sucks.

sorry to hear about that, my memory about stuff is weird too but I'm just gettng old...haha. hope it recovers in time! I ask because right around that time the teams stopped riding ships for marops, they started getting flown in if needed. Thanks for your service brother.

Catch you in a lie? Just give my your name and give me until Monday..I could just bother people by calling and ask if you were there. I just don’t care to and you haven’t given me a reason.

Curious what your experience is…since you said you weren’t just mouthing off. Maybe we were there at the same time. Small world.

What year where you there? Which nswdg squadron were you assigned? Red team? Blue? Green? If it was in the last decade..you would still have had a vb.socom.mil if you were a support on a team…

Bro, I said in my post I gave up the spot, maybe i should have specified that i never took orders, thought that was clear, but apparently not (wish I didn't but it's history and i'm retired), never claimed to be attached to DG, just had knowledge of it which I do, I have been with two teams however, if you want to check that. I wasn't mouthing off, i was providing knowledge provided to me from the recruiter and people I met during the process, maybe experience wasn't the right word, so apologies if that gave the wrong impression, but I never claimed to be DG, if i did, quote it.

Why? If he wasn’t just mouthing off he should be able to answer these questions. These are basics in a conversation.

I think being a parent screws your memory over lol.

I was the guy who could swim so my command kept sending me to schools which resulted in getting voluntold for all sorts of stuff lol.

I enjoyed my time in but could have never made a career out of the grunts. Way too much wear and tear on my body.

these days I’m just raising my 11yo and working away at life lol.

You’re over here flexing global search abilities on a Tacoma forum. There’s no need to show people on an Internet forum how cool/how not cool you are.
