Don’ feel bad about the mistake. Only the Navy has all these weird names fo various ranks. Air Force, Army and even Marines use normal titles.

And don’t get me started on officer titles. The Navy may use a couple of the same titles but they don’t correspond to anyone elses

You must have never used outlook, you know the one email source the military uses, which has a feature next to the “to” category where you can literally search ANYONE with a .mil email address. Most people whom have been in the military above the E4 pay grade know that a “global search” is precisely that. Crazy right?!! With all your experience you MUST have known that.
