I have heard you can avoid a cab mount chop for 285 70 17 tires, without any rubbing, with the proper offset/bs, lift, caster alignment. What would that sweet spot be? Are the specs for 2nd and 3rd gens different from each other?

Btw, I'm running wheels with 0 offset and 4.75 backspace.

If you wheel you're going to rub regardless of offset/wheel width/alignment specs and a lift isn't going to solve it since the wheel is taking the same path when you cycle the suspension on a stock and lifted truck (the limiting factor is the wheel well opening).

Now that I look back, I did hear this from a mall crawler enthusiast so makes sense.

Would still be nice to see what those pavement princess specs are. My rig will probably see 90% of its lifetime on pavement anyways. Other 10% on mild trails at most.
