You know this because you've read most PD's policy manuals?

However in CO, we can exceed the posted speed limit without lights or sirens in an attempt to catch up to or verify an actual or suspected violator or suspect in a crime....BY STATUTE.

I love how people are just throwing this word entrapment around.

Consider entrapment in regards to something like a cop leads you on to believe that he isn't a cop and asks you to do something illegal and then arrests you for it.

These people on this said highway know he's a cop, I mean, he's in a marked unit! Its not entrapment at all, if you have an issue with it, call him in to the supervisor, and slow down.

If you see a cop fly by and go off the off ramp and you go back to speeding because you think "the coast is clear", you have absolutely no respect for the laws or for law enforcement and you deserve what ever ticket you got.

If I drive 60 in a 75, waiting for people to pass me so I can see registration, plates, seat belt's etc, is that entrapment, trying to get people to pass me?

No, actually I'm not. That's what the passing lane is for. Yes? Especially on a two-three lane highway. I mean hell, the minimum speed in the left lane on a portion of said highway is 55 mph. Obstructing?

Was told by a state trooper that any time a vehicle isn't keeping up with the flow of traffic it's obstructing traffic by forcing people to pass you.

Uh no...not that I'm aware of...the "flow of traffic" can be thrown around...lets say I was doing 73 in a 65 b/c that's the "flow
Of traffic"....I get laser read at said speed and am stopped for that moving violation...I still broke the speed limit, right? There was / is no sign posted "vehicles going with the flow of traffic exempt"

Lol on a 3 lane highway....with signs posted, slower traffic keep right...its not forcing people to pass.

However if it was a two lane road, yes, you are right.

Idk, I don't see why people speed to begin with. And usually it's the same people that text, and drink n drive too

Saying that usually the speeders are the same ones that text and drive and drink and drive is kinda ridiculous....everyone that drives a car has sped and has the tendency and ability to speed at any given time. Its not a certain group or groups of drivers that usually speed.

Wrong. Says NOTHING about using lights and sirens...
If there is a bolo out for a stolen white civic, I don't run up on every white civic with my lights and sirens and run their tag and then turn them off when it's not the car...

When I'm pacing a car that is speeding, I don't do it with my lights and sirens on.
