Dm93 is a Tech. I still don’t know why he hangs out here as much as he does.
The last thing I want to do when I get home from work, is “think about work”.
If I worked on cars daily, you all wouldn’t see me on here near as much as I am now.
I hate working cars. I’d seriously rather dig ditches. The only reason I work on mine is because I hate spending money.

I kinda like working on mine but I mostly hate spending the money too - I totally get it!

I’d rather ”build” things. Not fix things.
I like to be able to stand back and “see result”.
    “Fixing” things isn’t as fun.

I like fixing things - mostly because I don't want to call someone/pay someone and let them up in my house..
It is also nice that my 20+ year old washer/dryer are still kickin it, that kinda thing.

I have had to do some basic electrical stuff lately - I am scared of doing that kind of repair and I don't feel like I quite know enough but I did it and it felt great.

Building things requires a bit more creativity than I possess.
However, in the kitchen I am creative AF so :notsure:

I never said anything about creativity.

I look at things from a functional aspect.
    Forum definitely follows function.

If you have an ABS problem (ABS Light on) particularly with the rear wheel speed sensors you need to address that before worrying about the P0500.

If you don't have a scan tool that can talk to the ABS you can flash the codes out on the light.

If you like to do it like I do it's not work, besides I have to have something to keep my brain and hands busy.

Cheers to you for giving electrical a go, many people are intimidated by it.
If you want to learn more about it check out the youtube channels in my sig, Paul (Scanner) Danner teaches automotive diagnostics and has some excellent videos from his classes on his channel.

And to think, it all started over fuel pressure for me.

The electrical wasn't too bad - I had to try and I succeeded. I wasn't paying for someone to drive out here to do something I knew was simple [I live an 30-1:00 from any electrician so $$].

I'll have to check out your videos, thanks!

But it does require some creative thinking to build stuff - even if function is your primary goal.

I have a similar approach in the kitchen - IDGAF how the food looks as long as it tastes good.
