Speed shop

Looking to get a supercharger installed in on my FJ. I live in Marin County. Would love to do it myself but I just separated my shoulder

 

Just one shoulder? C'mon wheres your drive??? I did wheel rotations, and somehow managed to install a bed rack, and roof top tent and all that shit when I was recovering from 2 different shoulder reconstruction surgeries...

But really, I know what that shits like man, hope the recovery goes well. Not too sure about shops in Marin but I lived in the nice part of Oakland for a few years between like 2017 and 2019. If you have the time to drive over and ferry back, I know there are a ton of reputable auto performance shops over there and on Alameda. For work like that I'd take it to the most reputable regional shop - not necessarily the most convenient local shop.

 

Do you have laborers (kids)?

 

Nope, just a little creative leverage, and the acceptance that if something starts to fall, you let it, and jump out of the way.

Most of the shit we put on our trucks should survive a fall anyways.

 

I don't have time or the motivation with 2 jobs. I'd be willing to go to east bay. I work on Yerba Buena so it's convenient

 

Could try Mudrak Custom Cruisers in Sonoma or Yodaman in Santa Rosa. Both are Toyota Specialists (one being more geared towards land cruisers but still does work on other platforms).

 

@robblacktpre03 did you ever get you S/C installed? It should be pretty straightforward for any mechanic.

I’ve had some general work done at Northgate Automotive in San Rafael and the owner used to race S/c hot rods or something.

I’ve also had work done at RPM Motors too.

There’s also dealerships which the benefit there is to be able to reflash ECU, but if you went with a HPTuners you don’t need dealer reflash.

 

No I haven't. Been busy traveling for work and just finished a head gasket replacement on my ct200h. So now my priority is to finish off my sc install on my tacoma
