Thank you for your reply. I was going crazy trying to find out which sensor.
Interesting story as to how I learned speedo reading came off the ABS speed sensors. Had the truck re-geared and went to larger tires. The shop that did the re-gear installed a Hypertech speedometer calibrator. But I found it was reading 60 when I was doing 70. (Have a GPS in my radar detector.) Took it back to the shop. After a couple hours it was fixed. After multiple trial and error they entered only stock and new tire sizes, no gearing info, when programming the Hypertech. Then it was dead on.

Regearing didn’t do much still had to use hypertech. They state gear ratio and tire sizes in the app.

Yeah it all depends on your year and trans. We talked about it earlier on but for me regearing caused my Speedo to go nuts. Earlier manual transmissions is read at the transfer case so gears affects speedo, so I would be reading like 65mph while actually going 45 mph. But I corrected it

Yah same here but auto. even with hyper tech it’s slightly off but it’s close enough.

You can probably tweak that bit of ‘offness’ yourself with your cable and a pc.

I just installed the RC SC and it's on the money with my GPS speed.

Just jumping in here out of curiosity. Can't the speedo be corrected by a tune? Or by the dealer with their advanced version of something like the Techstream software?
(Most any handheld GPS or radar detector will give you your exact speed to check for error after a gear change or tire change.)

No, the way it calculates speed it can’t be changed like that

I had a odometer issue when i fist had my truck and had to see the dealer... it read the miles too fast. Have no clue what was done but it was dead-on when i took the truck back.

I have the rough country one because it was cheap....does what it says. I've tested it with radar and GPS (for whatever that's worth) and seems to be pretty accurate.

Thanks for that info. I had thought the OV Tune could do it.

Sounds like a good idea for a new thread…don’t think oil change intervals have ever been brought up on TW.
